It's been a while since I've last posted, in my defence life has been CRAZY! We started school back up after 3 weeks of wonderful vacation. I'm involved in a church multi stake orchestra that is playing a Christmas Oratorio written by an LDS composer who is currently working on his Doctorate of Music at the UofA. It's called Bethlehem, and it's pretty cool. Full orchestra and choir. The only downside is the composer himself is conducting. I'd forgotten what it's like to play for composers. (A bit frustrating!) He has something in his head, which didn't get transfered onto the paper, so we're constantly stopping so he can explain to us we're not playing it right, and he'll try to explain what's in his head. (Sigh.) But it's fun to be playing in an orchestra again.
The weather is actually starting to cool down- a bit- so the girls are spending more time outside. Here's some cute pictures (IMO!) of the girls playing in the backyard. Alyssa adores riding the teeter-totter with her sisters. The squeals of delight were non-stop!
