Sick weekend

Well, our sickness has passed on to our computer! This weekend it crashed, and it was just a tough weekend! It all began with the pda running out of batteries, when that happens, UNFORTUNATELY, I lose all of my data, calendars, addresses, notes to self. Everything. FORTUNATELY, I sync it to my computer and had just done so a few weeks before. So we go to put all the info back onto my palm, and UNFORTUNATELY, that ends up causing the hard drive to crash. FORTUNATELY, Jeremy has the operating system and program files on one hard drive and all of our data on another hard drive. For extra precaution we also back up the data hard drive on an external drive. So he reformatted the operating systems and programs hard dive and that didn't work, so then he just loaded them all onto a third hard drive. That worked, hooray! UNFORTUNATELY, when we figured out how to get all the information back on my palm, it turned out it was last backed up in 2004. 4 years of the the record of my life gone. Contacts, phone numbers and addresses, birthdays, and appointments. I can't remember what I'm doing tomorrow, I feel lost without my schedule! Apparently, when we got a new computer (back in 2004) when we reloaded the backing up system, unbeknownst to us it automatically saved it within the program file, on the non backed up hard drive. FORTUNATELY, we did not lose all of our pictures, my scrapbooks, all of our other data, and mostly it's just the inconvienence of reloading all the programs and getting all the settings just right. All of you out there! If you have anything on your computer that you love (like those precious pictures!) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BACK THEM UP! Trust me, it's no fun to lose something you can't get back.
