Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy new year's day! We've been out of town and sort of skipped a few things this year...oh well...but we had a great visit with family for Christmas, and then came home for a fun family party on New Years Day.

Now on to New Year's Resolutions. I know a lot of people are anti new year's resolutions, because a. they never (rarely?) actually get accomplished, and b. well do we really need another reason? But I'm a goal driven girl, and I find they're helpful, even if not accomplished in full. The journey can be as useful as the destination... Since a goal is best written down, I'm going to go public (ok, family and friends) and go on record. Maybe that will help me feel more accountable. :)

1. Go to the Temple once every month
2. Establish a regular exercise routine
3. Stop ignoring my viola, and actually learn a new piece or two. (I've got the Walden Viola Concerto just waiting to be learned)
4. Clean and organize the garage.
5. Grow something I can eat.

A few pictures, here's Bekah and Alyssa doing something scary, facing their fears. Bekah especially is really really really scared of hights. A balloon got stuck on the ceiling (about 18 feet up) and Jeremy, being the great dad that he is, didn't just say I told you to not let go of the string, but went and got out the ladder. Well, then Bekah wanted to try to climb up too. About a few steps up, she decided it was too scary, but with some daddy encouragement (and a hand around her waist most of the way up) she faced her fears and touched the ceiling! She talked about it for days.

That is a great accomplishment as a child! I remember quaking on the ladder as a kid. I still do! Glad you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
