camping

It was a fun long weekend for us. Jeremy took a half day off from work on Thursday and we headed up to the mountains with my parents, and my brother and his family. My sister and her kids met us there too. So it was quite the crowd!
Here's explorer Bekah, with her walking stick:

Andrew's favorite part was walking the dogs:

And here's Rachel exploring some rock caves:

And of course, the girlie girl Alyssa smelling the flowers:

And while we had planned on the fun ending on Friday night return home, (in time for Conference at our house) plans were suddenly changed when we blew a tire on the ride off the mountain.
My dad and Jeremy tried to change it, but one of the lug nuts was stripped, and so they had to call for some better tools. Which ended up taking a long time. So long, that we couldn't replace the tire that night and had to wait till Saturday. Luckily, conference is everywhere. So we, being the spontaneous folks we are, decided to invade my sister's house for the night. Nothing like 13 sudden unexpected (stinky from camping!) visitors descending upon your doorstep! (Thanks Tiana and Vernon! You're awesome!)

I can see Andrew walking the cutest little Yorkie I ever saw! Darling. Funny how life goes on, even in stinky camp clothes.
