So yes, I've been super busy and have neglected our poor family blog. One of the things keeping us super busy is school, because this year we've decided to give homeschooling a try. It's been fun watching my little ones learn and discover, and it's been challenging to try to figure out the best ways to teach them. Today we had lots of fun dissecting owl pellets. Rachel and Bekah each got a pellet, tweezers and gloves. Rebekah had threatened not to do it, since it was "too gross", but in the end, curiosity won the day and she dug in. We were thrilled to find two skulls, one mouse and one muskrat, as well as many other pieces. If you're interested, here's the link of where we got our stuff.
Here's what we ended up with after removing all the "fluff"...

You are amazing Janei!
wow.. super gross! Bekah looks awesome in that picture by the way. You are awesome- I'm glad you posted.
Now have them watch the Owl movie: Guardians Of Ga'Hoole. They have plenty of spitting out owl pellets in this one.
Was there a main reason why for home schooling? Just wondering. Leah is falling behind lately.
